Johnson & Johnson is a well-known manufacturer of drugs, healthcare products, and consumer products. Based in the U.S., it was founded in 1885 and now operates worldwide with sales in 175 countries.
Johnson & Johnson has several daughter companies specializing in different fields. One of them, Vistakon, launched the world's first soft disposable contact lenses in the 1980s. Vistakon's trademark is Acuvue. Acuvue contact lenses are now sold in over 70 countries.
Vistakon provides a broad selection of contact lenses, with lenses for all types of vision correction. In addition to the original Acuvue, brands include One Day Acuvue, the more affordable Acuvue 2, and Acuvue Advance. Coloured “Acuvue Colours” lenses are also available.
